Trinidad and Tobago is one of the many North American Caribbean nations. There are many interesting facts about this nation that will be explained in this article. 


Size 

Trinidad and Tobago is 5,131 km2 (1,981 mi2) and about the area of the US state of Delaware. It has a population of 1.5 million, which is about the population of West Virgina. The capital is Port of Spain, which has nothing to do with the country of Spain. 


Trinidad and Tobago Vs. USA 

On October 10, 2017, United States Men’s National Team fans were shocked as they lost to Trinidad and Tobago 2-1. This was a match in the World Cup Qualifying for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. The USA was supposed to qualify with an easy win against the small nation of Trinidad and Tobago. However, the USA lost and got knocked out of qualification to the World Cup with the loss. 


Flag and Map

The Trinidad flag is a red flag with a black and white stripe through it. The flag is basic but the colors blend well with each other. This flag gets a 3.9/5.
